The Atradius Middle East team combines local expertise and international experience to help businesses reduce the impact of customer payment defaults caused by commercial and political risks.
From our main office located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), we support our local insurance partners who, in line with local regulatory guidelines, service local and international clients in all aspects of credit risk mitigation. Our partners, leverage our credit risk management expertise, including credit ratings and local market knowledge.
We opened our first office in the Middle East region in 1999. Since then our operations has grown rapidly across sectors and business sizes. Today, we provide credit management support for a wide range of businesses, from multinationals to smaller organisations, across the subcontinent.
Roeland Punt was appointed CEO of Atradius Middle East in 2025, where he is responsible for managing a team of more than 40.
Roeland is an international trade credit professional with more than 25 years of experience. He has been with Atradius since 2008 in various risk, commercial and management roles in different locations across Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining Atradius, he was active in the financial markets working for the stock exchange, as a banker and a stock derivatives trader.
Özgür Durgun was appointed to the position of Regional Head of Risk Services – Middle East and India in January 2024. He is currently located in Dubai, leading the Risk Services teams in the Middle East and India.
Özgür joined Atradius in 2007 as Risk Services Manager in Turkey. Prior to joining Atradius, Özgür had 10 years of banking experience in corporate finance and credit units of Unicredit and Alternatifbank.
Özgür has an MBA degree in International Finance & Banking from Yeditepe University in Istanbul.
